Summit Entertainment is prepping another book-turned-movie project after acquiring the rights of Kenneth Oppel's "This Dark Endeavor: The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein". That's why Frankenstein fans brace yourself on a whole new take on your favorite monster story.
This Dark Endeavor movie is reportedly to be directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield and Let Me In).When I first read about this news, the hit anime Full Metal Alchemist came into my mind because of the resemblance it has on its story.
The twin brother's Victor and Konrad Frankenstein stumbles upon a Dark Library where secret books of alchemy and ancient remedies were. Then their father caught them entering the Dark Library that they were not allowed to enter the room anymore. But it triggered out the curiousty in them, especially Victor's. When Konrad falls gravely ill, Victor went back to the Dark Library where he discovered an ancient formula for the Elixir of Life.
