Actress Sofia Vergara more popularly known as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the top-rating ABC show Modern Family is going to portray a Gaga-esque role in Machete 2 or Machete Kills movie. Oh wait! Lady Gaga is in this movie too. Sofia Vergara's character name is Desdemona.

Plot:
“The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.”

Also starring in the sequel of Machete are Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michele Rodriguez, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir and Mel Gibson.

Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington Topbills 2 Guns

Contraband director Baltasar Kormakur is now on post-production to his film 2 Guns which stars the duo of Mark Wahlberg (TED, Contraband) and Denzel Washington (Flight). In that news, a new movie still has surfaced online which features the 2 and their guns, well, we can't actually see Wahlberg's gun but it safe to assume he has one. And oh, just look that those bills flying on the bottom left of the picture.

Plot:“A DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer who have been tasked with investigating one another find they have been set up by the mob — the very organization the two men believe they have been stealing money from.”

The Last Stand Comes With Nice Firsts!

Ang Lee, James Wan, M. Night Shyamalan are three of Hollywood's best asian directors but with Koreans getting all the attention in music, movies, fashion, etc since last year. I'm not surprise that we'll have two new asian directors who will have their English-language debut this year.

I'm talking about Korean directors Kim Jee-Woon (A Tale of Two Sisters, The Good, The Bad, The Weird) and Chan-Wook Park (Oldboy, Thirst). But let's talk about Kim Jee-Woon for now. This Januart 18, will be his first hollywood action film 'The Last Stand' and as the title suggests, it's going to be an avenue for a lot of firsts.

For not only this will be Jee-Woon's first hollywood action film but also Arnold Schwarzenegger's first leading role in a decade.

Plot Summary: Action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his much-anticipated return to the big screen in Korean director Kim Jee-Woon's hard-hitting U.S. directorial debut, "The Last Stand." After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. Robocop Movie Remake (2013)

If there's any cop that will forever remain a childhood memory it's got to be Robocop. While most attempts of reviving this cool character from the past had failed but this time MGM will take responsibility for the rebirth of the most heroic police in history.

Scriptwriter will pen the Robocop remake and the director of the critically acclaimed 2010 Brazilian action film Elite Squad: The Enemy Within has been hired to direct the movie.


Actor Joel Kinnaman whose last three films were Safe House, The Darkest Hour and he also appeared in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Meanwhile, we got ourselves the viral teaser trailer of Robocop film featuring Omnicorp's RC 2000.

Star Blazers Movie in the Works!

It sounds like a sci-fi anime series is going to get adapted into the big screen. And it's either Japan's recent live action sci-fi film "Space Battleship Yamato" is going to have a hollywood remake or Hollywood's goin to do a new one and entitle it "Star Blazers" based from the hit anime's US title. Christopher McQuarrie (Writer of Valkyrie movie) is currently working on the script of this upcoming film.

The film adaptation will most likely follow the plot of both the tv series, so here it is.

A starship must make a dangerous voyage to a distant planet and back to save Earth.

Safe Movie

A 2011 Movie Poster of SAFE!!

I've always been a fan of action movies with the lead protecting children. This film actually reminded me of Korea's "The Man from Nowhere", but I know and it's safe to say that SAFE, from the synopsis they gave is safe from being a copycat of any predictable action film.

The Jason Statham starrer is about a second-rate cage fighter on the mixed martial arts circuit, Luke Wright (Jason Statham), lives a numbing life of routine beatings and chump change…until the day he blows a rigged fight. Wanting to make an example of him, the Russian Mafia murders his family and banishes him from his life forever, leaving Luke to wander the streets of New York destitute, haunted by guilt, and tormented by the knowledge that he will always be watched, and anyone he develops a relationship with will also be killed.

But when Luke witnesses a frightened twelve-year-old Chinese girl, Mei (Catherine Chan), being pursued by the same gangsters who killed his wife, Luke impulsively jumps to action…and straight into the heart of a deadly high-stakes war. Puss In Boots Custom Clip with Lady Gaga's "Americano"

A promo clip has been released for Puss in Boots the movie. Featuring Lady Gaga's Americano altogether with the action scenes shown in the trailer. The movie Puss in Boots is likely to get that "mature" feel on it since it's marketed along with Gaga's film.

The movie is PG13 however but then, it may ended having the same feel as "Rango". I'm still excited to see Puss' comeback in the big screen now without Shrek, but with the bad kitty named "Kitty" and Humpty Dumpty.

Upcoming Hawkeye Movie

The superpower-less but the world's greatest marksman debuted his first ever big screen appearance in the movie "Thor". Coming next, is his next big break in the Avengers. Actor Jeremy Renner, who will play iconic Avenger archer Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye however clarified that unlike in the comic books his costume would not certainly be the purple and pointy ones.

"I think it's going to be a little more reality-based [...]You can kind of tell with Scarlett (Johansson)'s character (in 'Iron Man 2'), it's going to be more of a uniform . . . and not a big purple, comics sort of thing. That's why I think it's more palatable to audiences — there's almost a sense of reality to these superheroes," Renner explained.

"That's what makes it interesting to me, anyway."

He also said in another interview that there's going to be some sort of romance going on between him and Black Widow in the Avengers. That's actually why it was hinted out that he's goin to have a spin-off solo movie after the Avengers.

Highlander Movie Reboot!

Summit always comes with something interesting lately. One of their plans is in fact doing a remake of the interesting fantasy flick of the 1980's! The Highlander Movie!

Reports say that Scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg is in charge for the script of the new Highlander movie.

The Highlander movie will revolve around an immortal swordsman who must confront the last of his immortal opponent, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize".

Whatever this prize is we have yet to find out since I wasn't able to watch the old film. hehe But anyway here's what the co-chairman of Summit Entertainment, Patrick Wachsberger said about the film. .

“We are privileged to have this amazing opportunity to reinvent one of the great franchises. Neal and Justin have proven more than once that they can deliver an entertaining and exciting blockbuster.”

Mud Movie Might Star "Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon"

Director Jeff Nichols is dead set to have Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon to star in his drama entitled "Mud". We recently heard of Chris Pine doing the project but it seems like Matthew's going to get the role.

In case you're wondering the movie "Mud" will be about a fugitive who encounters two 14-year-old boys who attempt to help him escape from an island in the Mississippi.

This project, as reported by Deadline, will be produced by Lisa Marie Falcons together with Sarah Green and FilmNation Entertainment's Aaron Ryder. According to Falcons "Jeff Nichols has written a beautiful story with rich characters learning valuable lessons through life-changing circumstances. Kristen Stewart is the New "Snow White" in the Snow White and the Huntsman

An Action Adventure Fantasy take on the timeless classic story - Snow White movie 2012. The movie with the working title "Snow White and the Huntsman" is starring Kristen Stewart as the new Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as Ravenna the Evil Queen.

The movie follows, s the princess after the evil queen Ravenna calls for her death, centering on the huntsman who disobeys orders and allows the fair maiden to live. The updated story will break from convention by having the huntsman mentor and train Snow White to fight off Ravenna herself.

Will the days spent on training become days wherein romance blossoms to it's barest glory?? Will love rise amidst the final battle between Snow White and the Evil Queen?? This looks like the new Alice battling the evil Queen of Hearts but - will this take of Snow White - outdo what the former have done in the box office history??

From just a series of novels, to two film appearances, Alex Cross' crime detective games are far from being over. From the James Patterson's novels yet another black hero will have to save the day in the upcoming crime thriller film "I, Alex Cross".

This time Alex Cross will have to deal with a serial rapist who may have murdered his pregnant wife years before.And if you were used to Morgan Freeman portraying Alex's character, then you may be in some way disappointed that the role wasn't given to him.

Tyler Perry, got the lead role for this movie project. The underappreciated actor may however shine given that marvelous (xXx movie and Fast and the Furious) director Rob Cohen will be at helm for the project.
