Director Jeff Nichols is dead set to have Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon to star in his drama entitled "Mud". We recently heard of Chris Pine doing the project but it seems like Matthew's going to get the role.
In case you're wondering the movie "Mud" will be about a fugitive who encounters two 14-year-old boys who attempt to help him escape from an island in the Mississippi.
This project, as reported by Deadline, will be produced by Lisa Marie Falcons together with Sarah Green and FilmNation Entertainment's Aaron Ryder. According to Falcons "Jeff Nichols has written a beautiful story with rich characters learning valuable lessons through life-changing circumstances. With Jeff’s vision, this will be a work of art[...]It’s an incredible script which Jeff, along with Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Tye Sheridan, will bring to life.
